RARGOM Symposium Oct 2009

The Regional Association for Research on the Gulf of Maine (RARGOM), in collaboration withFisheries and Oceans Canada St. Andrews Biological Station (DFO SABS), the Gulf of Maine Institute (GMRI), the Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea(COMPASS) and the Gulf of Maine Census of Marine Life (GoMA/CoML) program, have organized a Gulf of Maine Symposium - Advancing Ecosystem Research for the Future of the Gulf.

There was a Technical Workshop on Seafloor Mapping for Ecosystem Management in the Gulf of Maine organized by Page Valentine, Jonathan Grabowski, Brian Todd, and Tracy Hart. The goal of the workshop was to identify and explore current and potential uses of seabed habitat information for Ecosystem Based Management in the Gulf of Maine.
